For a start, the betting range is much wider, from 0.10 all the way up to 250.00 per spin. And there are also some changes to the gameplay in the bonus round. But there are also a lot of similarities, like the cash collect feature and the Fisherman Wild. Also, bass fishing is a step up from weekend angling, so in Big Bass Bonanza, our main character is a bearded seafaring type.  

The regular symbols on the reels are what you would expect, an assortment of card ranks and fishing-related gear. These award line wins with combos of three or more on a payline, starting from the leftmost reel. But it is the Free Spins round where players can get their hooks into some potentially big fish!

Fish cash symbols of different sizes can land. Their values are multiples of the bet, but these can only be collected in the Free Spins. During the base game, combos of three or more of any of the fish on a payline award line wins.  

A bearded Fisherman is the Wild, but he can only land and do his thing in the Free Spins. These will trigger when three or more of the Scatter, which is a leaping big-mouthed bass, land on one spin. 

Everybody knows that fishing is a sport that is all about patience, with long periods where nothing much happens suddenly broken by a frenzy of activity. And the Big Bass Bonanza slot is very similar. The base game spins away, with the occasional line win. But when three or more of the leaping bass Scatters appear on the screen, the Free Spins kick in, and the action heats up. 

Now the Fisherman Wild can land, and when he does, he'll help form line wins and then show off his skill. If there are fish symbols on the reels at the same time as the Fisherman, he'll hook them all and award the cash values to the player. And if there is more than one Wild on the grid, each of them will catch the fish in turn.     

And for players who think this is not much different from Fishin' Frenzy, you're right, but read on; there's a twist. During the Free Spins, a trail appears above the grid. As the Fisherman lands, he's collected and fills one position on the trail.  

With every fourth Wild collected, +10 Free Spins are awarded, and the win multiplier is increased. Up to 30 more Free Spins can be awarded in this way, and the win multiplier can rhea a max of x10. This will apply to all the cash symbols collected but not line wins.  

And as a last boost to win potential in this round, fish symbols can be randomly added to the reels if a Wild lands and there are none present. 

Big Bass Bonanza is more than just a clone of Fishin’ Frenzy with the extendable Free Spins with an increasing win multiplier. But it can take a while to land the big ones in this medium to high volatility game, so always set a loss limit before playing.
